We’re not gonna lie, it’s been a tough few years to be in the film festival industry. It surprises a lot of people when they find out aGLIFF is run by an all-volunteer, working Board of Directors. We were already operating on slim margins prior to the pandemic. The loss of city funding the past two years coupled with expenses for everything going up and wonky-at-best paid attendence at the past couple of festivals - we need the support of our community more than ever.

Many of you have been with us for many years—some even from the beginning. And every year we take such great joy in seeing you reunite with friends, we watch as you fill the theaters, and we join you to celebrate at panel discussions and after parties. Your presence and passion for aGLIFF has fueled and inspired us for the past 36 years and makes us hopeful for our future.
