1993, sponsor since 2003 and member of the board since 2006. Alisa
is owner/designer of well
+ done DESIGN
.
She has waited a long time to contribute her time, energy and passion
to the growth of aGLIFF. Her belief is that the festival, along
with its monthly events will bring our community together with
revitalized spirit! 20 years and much to take pride in – thanks
to those who have kept it alive and well all these years!
calvin williams

Calvin Williams has been a fan of gay films ever since he saw two men kiss in "Making Love" when he was 17. He has avidly supported aGLIFF as a festival participant since 1989, and jumped headfirst onto the Board one week before the 2006 festival. Calvin is thrilled to channel his experience as an educator and administrator into an organization that shares his vision for bringing the community together through film. When not shaking down donations or delivering pizzas to fellow board members, he is an account manager for Skyward, a local software development firm. Calvin is currently serving as the Board Vice President.
Rob Everett

Rob is passionate about the importance of film in transforming people’s lives and reaching across culture and ideology to promote education, equality and truth. As a former Army brat and Air Force veteran, Rob has been somewhat of a nomad for most of his life and was happy to return to the “weirdness” of Austin in 2000. With graduate degrees in anthropology and business, Rob looks forward to applying his blend of creative and analytical skills to the oversight and integration of aGLIFFs marketing and operations improvement initiatives.
carri carswell

Carri Carswell is that rarest of creatures: a native Austinite. She's a 6th generation Texan and just recently joined aGLIFF board. Her goal is to unite the gay and lesbian community with broader audiences throughout the greater Austin family, expanding the membership and festival reach into the business and corporate communities. Carri is honored to join aGLIFF on the occasion of it's 20th Anniversary and will put her talent, experience, and enthusiasm into making this aGLIFF's best year yet . She wants to build on aGLIFF's two decades of success as a partner in community outreach, education and collaboration with other groups to help spread the aGLIFF gospel. Her long tenure as a sales executive at Level 3 Communications ensures her ability to reach a wider audience and insure the resonance of the aGLIFF message. They don't call her Bulldog for nothin! Go Horns!
brian carr

Brian attended his first aGLIFF screening back in 1987 while on a blind date, and is thrilled that at least something from that night was a success. He is a firm believer in the notion that if photography is truth, then cinema is truth twenty-four times a second. As a way to support his film going habit, Brian spends his days working as a senior advertising account representative at the Austin Chronicle. He is excited to lend his creative talents and a diverse voice to the festival in exchange for all the free popcorn he can eat.
Jo Assawamatiyanont

Jo brings information technology management expertise as a member of the Board’s 2006 freshman class and is the IT committee chair. She has been an aGLIFF member since 2003 and began volunteering in 2005. Jo combines her passion for technology and GLBT films with the desire to facilitate the development and maintenance of aGLIFF’s IT infrastructure. Her day job is as the Director of IT for an Austin insurance carrier.
Rhodes Gibson

Rhodes believes in the medium of film as a way to change how
people think and behave. He wanted to a be a part of an organization
that works to bring those films to a broader audience – which
will in turn bring about social change. With a commitment to the
larger gay and lesbian community of Austin, Rhodes wants to infuse
his energy and expertise into the continued growth of aGLIFF. These
passions are what brought Rhodes to aGLIFF and ultimately lead
to his service as a Board member. Rhodes is Creative Partner at Go9Media
,
a web design and development studio based in Austin, Texas.
